Vita Kārkliņa is a certified systemic family psychotherapist (LAP) and a licensed trainer, a sandplay therapist, and has been working as a psychotherapist since 1996.

In the Continuing Education Programme “Sandplay pictorial language” at the Linde von Keyserlingh Sandplay Therapy Institute she conducts the group together with Līga Rāviņa, a systemic family psychotherapist.

Certified family psychotherapist (Latvian Association of Psychotherapists till 2020)

Credentials of trainer’s licence – authorization to conduct : self-experience, continuing education and supervision in psychotherapeutic sand play. (DGST – Germany, 2012)

Sandplay psychotherapist (Certificate of International Society for Sandplay Psychotherapy, ISST2009).

Sandplay therapy method with authorization to integrate in family psychotherapy (2007).

Teacher of systemic family psychotherapy (2002 a trainee, monitored by L.Keyserlingh and A.Schlippe).

Qualified as a teacher of systemic family psychotherapy - systemic family psychotherapist (The qualification conforms to the guidelines of the German Systemic Association, 1999 in training conducted by L.Keyserlingh and the Osnabrück institute).

Pedagogy Master’s degree at LSU (Latvian State University) 1994.

Lecturer of history and social studies at LSU (1986)

Work experience in psychotherapy since 1996, working as an individual practitioner since 1997.

SANDPLAY THERAPY TRAINING
We invite all those who are interested in the sandplay therapy method to apply. This is an opportunity to acquire it and use and incorporate it in their work.


The training of the sandplay therapy method is designed for those who work in social services and have a higher education degree in pedagogy, psychology, or social pedagogy. This method can also be integrated by psychotherapists of other trends into their therapeutic practices.

The training will be conducted by Vita Kārkliņa and Līga Rāviņa (licensed trainers and sandplay psychotherapists). Linde von Keyserlingh, a teacher of International and German sandplay and family psychotherapy and a therapist, is the training supervisor.

The training period is two years and three months, with the possibility of receiving certificates of approval.

The group consists of between 8-10 participants; the first day of class shall be after the group is formed. The training is held every three months, on Fridays and Saturdays at V.Karkliņa’s practice.
